Art Club
A relaxed space to draw, paint and develop your creativity
Art Club is a chance to make regular time for creativity, develop your drawing and watercolour skills and build confidence through gentle tuition and plenty of opportunities to experiment.
Whether you’ve been drawing and painting for years or haven’t picked up a pencil since school, you’re very welcome.
The aim isn’t to produce a perfect picture. It’s to look, experiment, learn and enjoy making.

Each month we explore a different subject — from still life and portraits to landscapes, plants, animals and everyday objects. I’ll guide you through useful techniques, but there is also plenty of room to find your own way of working.
I also like to introduce playful and unexpected ways of making — from group drawing and monoprinting to drawing games and activities that encourage you to loosen up and try something different. I think adults deserve the chance to play creatively too!
And, of course, there’s always tea and homemade cake!

“It’s been so nice getting to know you and being part of your Art Club. It is something I truly look forward to every time.” Charlotte
Where does Art Club happen?
Art Club currently runs in two locations in Sheffield. The groups are separate, but both offer the same relaxed approach to drawing, painting and creative experimentation.
Dungworth Village Hall
Twice a month, usually on the first Wednesday and fourth Thursday of the month.
£10 per session or £36 for four sessions
Hillsborough
A monthly group meeting at RivelinCo in Hillsborough.
£12 per session or £44 for any four
The Hillsborough price reflects the higher cost of the venue.
Each group has its own termly dates and booking page, so you can choose the location and dates that suit you best.
Did you mention cake?
Absolutely! Roughly halfway through each session we stop for tea and cake. This is a chance to chat to other members of the club and enjoy my homemade cake. Each month I make a different seasonal cake. This month the cake is…

“Thanks for another fun Art Club. I really enjoyed the way you set everything up and planned the activities – an oasis of fun and creativity. It’s really renewed my love of watercolour.” Ben

A bit of both. There is teaching and guidance, but it’s relaxed and friendly, with time to chat, experiment and enjoy being creative together.
